Spend galleons at Honeydukes, checkout the latest gag at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. Duel another wizard, find the wand that’s right for you, and work together with your campmates to solve any mystery that may come your way! Take a Dive (Ages: 7-11 years)
Dive into the world of marine biology and oceanography! In our half day camp you’ll dissect a real shark, participate in a fisherman's challenge, examine the anatomy of a fish and learn the ancient technique of gyotaku or “fish rubbing”, learn to survive at sea with a homemade solar still, create a kelp forest and make your own submarine. Geocoaching Adventure Camp (Ages 10-16 years)
Geo-what?! Geocoaching is one of the fastest growing outdoor activities. It is a hi-tech scavenger hunt that utilizes a handheld GPS unit, a good set of eyes and a bit of hiking around. Experienced staff will guide you during this active camp as you learn how to use a GPS unit for geocoaching, explore the outdoors as you search for hidden caches and create and design your own geocoaching course. Each day will end with a fun team game. All equipment will be supplied, including the GPS unit. Do you think you have what it takes to be an outdoor survivor? Join GeoVentures for this fun and challenging hands-on camp that will introduce you to the basics of outdoor survival. You will build and test the strength of different types of shelters; learn basic first aid; be introduced to outdoor navigation; try tying different knots; learn what to bring and how to pack for hiking excursions and be exposed to other essential lessons of safely exploring the outdoors.
