Get Updated with Greg: Transit funding priorities, upcoming events, and more!
Hi Neighbor,
One of the House priorities this month is a bill that protects mass transit in Pennsylvania. We all know how much southeastern PA relies on SEPTA transit lines to move us through our days, whether it’s getting us to work and doctor’s appointments, or out to visit friends and family. That’s why I want to make sure everyone is able to get to where they need to go safely and efficiently.
We’ll need the PA Senate to pass the bill, too, and ensure that mass transit keeps Pennsylvanians moving all throughout the Commonwealth. Show your support and keep the pressure on your senators by filling out this online petition and sharing your SEPTA story. If you’re not sure who your state Senator is, you can use this tool to find out.

Legislative Update: June 9 – 11
Last week, my House colleagues and I passed important bills that will help our neighbors and improve our communities. I voted for these because they’re important to the strength of our communities here in Norristown, Conshohocken, and Plymouth Township. While the House passed them, they now go to the Senate for consideration – you can use the tools above to urge your Senators to vote in support of these, too!
- HB 1549, which raises the minimum wage to at least $12 throughout Pennsylvania by 2029. Here in Montgomery County, the minimum would jump to $12 an hour starting January 1, 2026. The bill creates a phased, tiered system of increasing the wage based on the cost of living in each county.
- HB 1460, which protects our hospitals and healthcare from private equity interests by giving the attorney general the authority to oversee and the public the opportunity to weigh in on any healthcare facility (hospital, nursing home, or hospice) sale, merger, acquisition, or major financial transaction that may jeopardize patient access and public health.
Why I Voted to Raise the Wage
I voted to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania because I know it’s long been time to ensure that a hard day’s work is enough to pay for essentials like housing, food, and medical bills. It’s mind-blowing to think that the minimum wage hasn’t increased in over a decade – all while we’ve watched prices for daily needs increase significantly, year after year. I’m proud to stand with my House colleagues in support of this bill and sincerely hope our peers in the Senate send this up to the governor’s desk.
Zoo Day at the Capitol
PA Zoo Day is one of my favorite breaks from the legislative work I do when I’m away in Harrisburg! Each year on Zoo Day leadership from the Pennsylvania zoos come out to meet with legislators and bring along live animal exhibits for everyone to visit. This year we saw exhibits from the PA Zoological Council’s member zoos: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Erie, Elmwood Park, the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, and Lehigh Valley. Be sure to check these zoos out if you’re ever in their areas, especially our local Elmwood Park Zoo!
Welcoming my CSA Zach to the House!
I always like an opportunity to welcome my district staff to Harrisburg for a visit. This past week, my constituent service advisory Zach Newman made the trip.
