Fitness Positions
Personal Trainer/Fitness Specialist:  Personal train, monitor fitness floor, perform new member orientations, assist newer members with their program, update member’s workouts, open or close fitness area, equipment cleaning/maintenance, etc.   Qualifications: Prefer BS degree in Exercise Science field or related field, and/or Personal Training Certification from an accredited organization. Will consider someone who has completed at least 3 years of courses in this field and still in school. CPR and First Aid Certification required.  Shifts available: Sundays 8:00 am – 1:00 pm; Mondays 5:30 am – 1:30 pm; subbing various days and times.
Group Exercise Instructors: Teach or sub classes such as HardCore, Kickboxing, Yoga, SilverSneaker Classes, Cycling, Suspension Training, etc.  Qualifications:  Must have an updated Group Exercise Certification and experience in teaching group fitness classes.  
Fitness Attendants: No previous fitness work experience needed but it would be beneficial if you have a history of working out in a fitness center.  Must be age 18 or over, reliable, personable, ability to enforce rules and regulations, and perform given duties with minimal supervision. Some of the duties include overseeing the fitness area, greet pass holders, enforcing rules and regulations, cleaning equipment and keeping the area straightened up. Various shifts including weekend, early mornings and/or evenings.  An updated PA Child Abuse History Clearance and a Federal (FBI) Criminal History Report are required.  Submit an Employment Application, or for more information contact Mary Ann at 610-277-4906 or mbevan@plymouthtownship.org
 Aquatic Positions
Lifeguard:  The lifeguard is primarily responsible for the safety of all participants in the aquatic area while the facility is in use. Current certifications in Red Cross, Ellis, or YMCA Life guarding, CPR Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid are required.
Water Safety Instructors:  The Water Safety Instructor is primarily responsible for the health and safety of all members of the class while utilizing proper instructional techniques.  Must possess current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification, and keep it current during length of Employment. Certification in Community CPR & Standard First Aid are a plus, but not required.
Camps, After School & Children’s Instructors 
After School Instructors:  Must be 16 years of age or older.  Instructors must be energetic and friendly.  Responsibilities include planning and directing group activities, ensuring children’s safety, managing children’s behavior and acting as a positive role model.  Must be able to communicate with participants, parents and co-workers.  Work hours are Monday-Friday, afterschool-6:00 PM.  May be required to work on days when Colonial School District is off or dismisses early.
Birthday Party Leaders:  The Birthday Party Leader will be responsible for the running and leading Birthday Party packages.  Interaction with parents and children are also required.  Must be 16 year old. Part time. Fridays 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays 11:30 am – 6:30 pm. Hours may vary.
Birthday Party Coordinator:  Organize and lead birthday party packages. Direct supervision of Birthday Party Leaders is also required.  Must be 18 years old and work part-time nights and weekends
Children’s Instructors:  Must be 16 years of age or older.  Must have experience working with children.   Responsibilities include planning and directing group activities, ensuring children’s safety, managing children’s behavior and acting as a positive role model.  Must be able to communicate with participants, parents and co-workers.  Work hours include mornings, evenings and weekends based on availability.
Summer Camp Counselors: Must be 16 years of age or older. Must be energetic and friendly.  Responsibilities include planning and directing group activities, ensuring children’s safety, managing children’s behavior and acting as a positive role model.  Must be able to communicate with participants, parents and co-workers.  Work hours are Monday-Friday.
Janitorial
Part-time Custodian (Evenings/Weekends):  Part-time opportunity to perform routine maintenance care for the Greater Plymouth Community Center.  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Prior experience working in maintenance or custodial position preferred.
