Fitness Positions
Fitness Specialist:  Monitor fitness floor, assist newer members with their program, update exercise routines or add exercises as requested, occasional open or close fitness area, equipment cleaning/maintenance, etc.   Qualifications: Prefer BS degree in Exercise Science field or related field, but will consider someone who has completed at least 3 years of courses in this field and still in school. CPR and First Aid Certification must be completed within the first 3 months.
Group Exercise Instructors: Instructors to teach a variety of classes such as HardCore, Kickboxing, Yoga, Senior Aerobic classes, SilverSneaker Classes, Cycling, Suspension Training, etc.  Qualifications:  Must have an updated Group Exercise Certification and experience in teaching group fitness classes.

 Aquatic Positions
Lifeguard:  The lifeguard is primarily responsible for the safety of all participants in the aquatic area while the facility is in use. Current certifications in Red Cross, Ellis, or YMCA Life guarding, CPR Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid are required.
Water Safety Instructors:  The Water Safety Instructor is primarily responsible for the health and safety of all members of the class while utilizing proper instructional techniques.  Must possess current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification, and keep it current during length of Employment. Certification in Community CPR & Standard First Aid are a plus, but not required.
Camps, After School & Children’s Instructors 
Camp Counselors: Must be 19 years of age or older.  Counselors must be energetic and friendly.  Responsibilities include planning and directing group activities, ensuring camper safety, managing camper behavior and acting as a positive role model.  Must be able to communicate with participants, parents and co-workers.  Must be available to work 9 weeks from June to August. Hours range from 8:00AM-6:00PM, Monday-Friday.
After School Instructors:  Must be 16 years of age or older.  Instructors must be energetic and friendly.  Responsibilities include planning and directing group activities, ensuring children’s safety, managing children’s behavior and acting as a positive role model.  Must be able to communicate with participants, parents and co-workers.  Work hours are Monday-Friday, afterschool-6:00 PM.  May be required to work on days when Colonial School District is off or dismisses early.
Children’s Instructors:  Must be 16 years of age or older.  Must have experience working with children.   Responsibilities include planning and directing group activities, ensuring children’s safety, managing children’s behavior and acting as a positive role model.  Must be able to communicate with participants, parents and co-workers.  Work hours include mornings, evenings and weekends based on availability.
Civic Green Special Athletes Instructor:  Looking for an individual to instruct our youth special needs sports program.  The emphasis on this program is to have fun while learning sportsmanship, physical activity and social interaction.  Some fundamental sports skills are necessary.  Experience working with special populations is preferred.  Parents are asked to assist with this class.  Must be 18+ years old.  This program runs on Sundays at 3pm from January-June.  For more information please contact Joanna at jsharapan@plymouthtownship.org
Janitorial
Part-time Custodian (Evenings/Weekends):  Part-time opportunity to perform routine maintenance care for the Greater Plymouth Community Center.  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Prior experience working in maintenance or custodial position preferred.
Environmental Resources Specialist
Plymouth Township Parks & Recreation is seeking an energetic & enthusiastic individual to serve as a point person for nature based programming and natural land management. Duties: leading & promoting programs, directly supervising & scheduling PT staff and volunteers, creating nature based and outdoor activities. Must exercise good judgment & work independently. Night & weekends required. Qualifications: Graduation from a 4-year college with a degree in ecology, environmental sciences/ other related field. Approx. 3 years of experience in outdoor recreation.
