Earlier this morning, October 15, 2019, the Covanta Plymouth facility experienced a power issue.  At approximately 2 am, our agency received multiple reports of a loud bang at the facility.  Due to what has been described as a power issue, the facility initiated a non-emergency shut down of operations.

Covanta has set up a Community Hotline (610-569-9372) for residents and businesses.  Any inquiries regarding the status of the Covanta Plymouth facility should be directed to this number.
