No Additional Road Restrictions on Ridge Pike for Labor Day Holiday

August 21, 2026 – Montgomery County announced today that no additional lane restrictions will be in place on Ridge Pike between Belvoir Road and Chemical Road from 6:00 AM on Friday, September 4, to 9:00 AM on Tuesday, September 8, for observation of Labor Day.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for traveling through the work area or to use an alternate route. Please drive safely.

Latest progress

Work this summer includes construction of the eastbound side of the Norfolk Southern railroad bridge and new eastbound travel lanes on Ridge Pike.

About this project

Montgomery County’s Ridge Pike Improvement Project is a four-stage investment in Ridge Pike’s future that will reconstruct and widen the roadway and improve safety along the five-mile corridor between Norristown and Philadelphia. Section B (Belvoir to Chemical) is currently under construction. Section D (Crescent to Philadelphia) was completed in late 2024, while A and C are in the design phase.
