Egg-Plorers Adventure Egg Hunt Ages: 3 – 10 years w/Adult
A different kind of egg hunt! Come anytime (10am-12pm) and collect eggs all around Harriet Wetherill Park, limit 8 per person. Redeem your eggs for candy and then enjoy some kid’s crafts and activities. Pre-registration required. Location: HWP – Butler Pike

Full Moon Night Hike Ages: 5 – 10 years w/Adult
On the Full Moon come out with the family to enjoy a night hike with activities around Harriet Wetherill Park. The hike is a 1 mile loop with stops to learn about nocturnal animals, night vision, phases of the moon and experience sensory activities. No flashlights. Cash Only.

Nature Photography Series Ages: 8 – 12 years
Learn the basics of digital photography, composition, and capturing the beauty of nature with this 4 week nature photography course at Harriet Wetherill Park. Every participant needs to bring a digital camera.

Nature Story Time Ages: 3 – 5 years w/ Adult
We will take a short hike to a spot in the trees to read The Busy Tree By: Jennifer Ward and then go on a nature scavenger hunt. Bring a picnic to the park to enjoy before Story Time. Cash Only

Eco-friendly Home Workshop Ages: 16+ years
Join us for a night of DIY natural household products and learning how to make your homes and lives more environmentally friendly. Make and take home Laundry Detergent, Food Saver Beeswax Wrap, and a General Cleaning Spray. Preregistration Required

Family Walking Bingo Ages: Family
Get active together as a family and have fun playing a unique game of walking bingo. For every half lap you complete around Harriet Wetherill Park you will stop and have 5 bingo pictures pulled. You can win by getting 5 in a row. Snacks provided. Prizes awarded!

Summer Solstice Celebration Ages: Family
Celebrate the longest day of the year outside in nature! We will have a bunch of kids and family activities like making flower wreath, making sun crafts, try our scavenger hunt and end the night with a campfire. Snack will be provided; bringing a picnic dinner is encouraged.

Dog Days of Summer Celebration Ages: Family
Bring your furry companion to enjoy a walk at Harriet Wetherill Park with family friendly activities. Create an ornament with your best friend’s paw print, try out an agility course, get some treats from one of our vendors, and cool off in our sprinklers. Cash Only. No pre-registration required. Leash Requirements: Max length of 6ft, no flex or retractable leashes

Perseid Meteor Shower Ages: Family
At the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower you can see 100 shooting stars per hour. Join us for a quick lesson and activity about the night sky and then star gaze to see how many meteors you can spot. Please bring chairs or blankets to sit on. Snack will be provided. No flashlights, your vision takes 30 minutes in darkness to have effective “night vision”. Cash Only for walk-ins.

Pottery Works: Nature Art Ages: 5 and up
Kids will study the outdoor world of birds, bugs, plants and more in this fun, hands on exploration of the interesting worlds of art and nature. Discover the great outdoors through play, craft and fun! We will learn about animals, plants and other exciting things in nature. This program is held inside and outside. Please wear old sneakers, bring water bottle and snack.

Nature Scientist Camp Ages: 6 – 8 years
At this experiment filled camp be prepared to get your hands dirty. Make a solar oven, complete scavenger hunts, play fun games, and create cool art projects all while learning how to think like a scientist. This camp is all outside, please bring a water bottle and snack.

Jr Engineering Power and Energy Ages: 4 – 7 years
In the Power and Energy Camp, join us as we look at ways to get things moving…no batteries required. In this camp, students explore the foundation concepts of potential and kinetic energy by building their very own toys. Get ready for a shock in this energetic and engaging engineering experience.

Junior Park Ranger Camp Ages: 9 – 12 years
Explore, Learn, and Protect this week as you complete fun challenges to become a Jr. Park Ranger. A state Park Ranger will visit and talk about their job and conservation. This camp is all outside, please bring a water bottle and snack.
