FAQs for Pool Lap Lane Reservations
Reminder this is only for current GPCC annual, monthly or silver sneaker passholders
How do I reserve a swim time?
Please send an email to GPCCLanes@PlymouthTownship.org. We will reply and confirm your time or offer alternatives. This email is only for lane reservations. Please contact PBrady@PlymouthTownship.org or HLevans@PlymouthTownship.org with direct questions.
When can I reserve a swim time?
You can reserve up to 7 days before the swim time. For example, to reserve a time on July 7th , you can sign up starting at 12:01 am June 30th.
Please note: Pass holders can only sign up for one 45-minute session per day.
What should I include in my request?
Your first and last name, time, date, shallow or deep end and your cell number (we will only call if there is an issue) We will reply that we received it to confirm once it is entered on our schedule.
What is the schedule for swim times?
All swim times will start on the hour (10 minutes after for the first one of the day) and will run for 45 minutes.
On weekdays, sessions begin at 7:10 am and the last swim time begins at 6:00 pm. On weekends, sessions begin at 8:10 AM and the last swim time begins at 3:00 pm. For the last swim time, everyone has to be out of the pool 15 minutes before the building closes and out of the building by the hour.
What can I do in my lane?
Swim laps, water walk, or a personal water workout.
Can I request a shallow lane?
Yes, so please be specific if you would like a shallow lane.
Since the lockers and showers are closed, how do I dress to swim and then change out of my wet swimsuit?
Come dressed in your swimsuit and be prepared with a towel for your ride home.
Can I reserve a lane to share with my partner or family?
No, only one person to a lane, even if they are in the same household. If a husband and a wife, or a family, want to swim at the same time, they each must have their own lane, so they will both need to sign up separately.
Lanes will be numbered and please follow the directional arrows.
Even numbers lanes must walk to the Jolly Road side of the pool to enter. Odd number lanes enter from the locker room side. This will help with distancing and when you take a break and exit the pool. Pool Management will be on hand to assist. Please use the deck shower to rinse off before entering.
We can not provide kick boards and other equipment so please bring your own. Only the bottle fillers will be operational so please bring a bottle to fill.
Please remember to stay 6 feet apart from other swimmers at all times and face coverings are mandatory except when actually swimming.
