Family Camp Out at Harriet Wetherill Park Ages: Families
Pack up the family and head over to Harriet Wetherill Park for a fun night of camping! There will be planned activities, a campfire, s’mores, a giant outdoor movie and a light continental breakfast in the morning. Pack your own dinner for a picnic in the park. Must provide your own tent, chair, sleeping materials and flashlights. This is a smoke and alcohol free event. For more information, please contact Joanna or Kim at 610-277-4312.

Pre-purchase dinner (optional)- Mission BBQ~ Plymouth Meeting will be delivering dinner around 6:00 pm. Contact Joanna or Kim to place order. Order deadline: Thursday, 9/14 at 5:00 pm.
Adult Meal ($10): Sandwich (chicken, pork or turkey) and one side also includes one sauce, a cookie & utensil packet
Child Meal ($6): Slider (chicken, pork or turkey) or Maggie’s mac-n-cheese, one side & a cookie & utensil packet
Sides: Maggie’s mac-n-cheese, baked beans with brisket or cold slaw

Fairy Garden Workshop-Parent/Child (Ages: 5+ with parent)
Enjoy a morning together creating an enchanted fairy garden. All you need is a little imagination and we’ll supply the rest. We will use all natural materials and plantings. Class includes all necessary supplies and accessories. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park after class! Location: Harriet Wetherill Park (Butler Pike Entrance)

Mystery Madness (Ages: Families)
Get ready for Halloween at Plymouth Township Parks & Recreation’s Mystery Madness. We will go on a flashlight scavenger hunt, haunted walk of HWP and do some Halloween crafts. All will get a snack and the children will win prizes. Don’t be late; you don’t want to miss one minute! Please bring a flashlight. Hayride and Pumpkin Pick  (Ages: Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)
Join Plymouth Township Parks & Recreation and Maple Acres Farm for a hayride and pumpkin pick. Purchasing a pumpkin is optional; payment for pumpkin is through Maple Acre Farms. Location: Harriet Wetherill Park (Narcissa Rd Entrance)

Pumpkin Decorating (Ages: All ages)
Bring your own pumpkins to carve or decorate. We will provide paint and other supplies for decorating as well as knives and carving kits. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please call ahead to register. You can register at the door, but spaces are limited. You must bring your own pumpkin! Location: GPCC

The entire aquatics center is transformed into an eerie water playground with music by DJ Light & Sound. The lights are low, creepy creatures will be wandering and there will be glow necklaces for all. The event ends with a huge candy scramble – where bags of candy will be thrown into the pool for the children to gather up and take home.

Build Your Own Own Robot (Ages: 8-14 years)
This class will teach you from start to finish how to build your own autonomous robot controlled by an Arduino compatible microcontroller. The instructors will explain the how to create electric circuits using a microcontroller, breadboard, ultrasound sensor and programmable servo motors. All materials are provided and participants will leave with a self-driving, obstacle sensing robot.

Princess Party (Ages: 2-5 years)
Put on your most beautiful Princess dress and step out for an afternoon of make-believe fun. We will listen to one of our favorite fairy tale princess stories, enjoy a snack fit for a future queen and decorate our own crown and wand along with other fun things.

Night of Fitness
Come sample our Small Group Training and aerobic classes for just $10! This is a great opportunity to take a Cycling class, Suspension class, Body Weight Burn, Land Boot Camp, CoreSculpt and more! Try one or try them all! Each class will last about 20 minutes with minimum time in between, multiple classes running at the same time. If you have ever wondered what Small Group Training classes were like but weren’t sure you wanted to commit, here is your chance to try them out, or just come get in a great night of fitness. There will be raffles and a grab bag for everyone that registers by November 7th! Don’t wait to register, limited space is available! Energy snacks and water will be included!

Cardboard Boat Regatta: Families
Bring the whole family to build and race cardboard boats in the GPCC’s Lap Pool. This event allows participants to design and create a floating vessel of corrugated cardboard using engineering genius and artistic flair. We will provide all the supplies. After your boat is constructed we will set sail, at least one family member must man the boat. Winners will be based on ability to stay afloat and shortest time to sail across the pool. We will also give awards in “special” categories!

Veterans Day Celebration
Area Veterans are invited to join us on Wednesday, November 14th at 2:00 pm at the Plymouth Township Service and Devotion Monument (ceremony held indoors if it rains). Please RSVP to Lori Fisher that you will attend. By RSVPing your name will be included in the program for the event. Light refreshments will be served.

Daddy Daughter Dance (2-10 with adult)
Dad, get all dressed up and bring your favorite little girl out for a special evening. Enjoy snacking, dancing and making a special treat for Mom so she won’t feel left out. You’ll be able to remember the evening with a complimentary photograph.

Flick & Float – FEATURING The Incredibles 2
Swim, float, & splash in the leisure pool while watching this classic on a huge screen. Bring your favorite float. But, for safety, no ‘water wings’ please. The slide will be open but the spray features will be OFF during the movie. The doors open at 6:00pm and the movie begins at 6:30pm.

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Wednesday, November 28 at 6:00 pm (Rain date, Thursday, 11/30) Plymouth Township invites you to the second annual tree lighting ceremony. It will kick off at 6:00 pm at the Service and Devotion Monument located at the corner of Walton Road and Germantown Pike. The evening will feature a mini concert and complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. Santa and Ms. Claus will make an appearance so bring your smiles and cameras.

Graham Cracker House Workshop (Ages: All Ages)
Make your home more festive by displaying your own unique creation made out of graham crackers and candy. All supplies provided. Each person wishing to decorate a house must register. Registration deadline: 11/28

Breakfast with Santa (Ages: All Ages)
Come to family time with Santa. Shake his hand and bring your own camera to take pictures. We will also have a game room. A light breakfast will be served. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Ages 2 years and under are free with paying adult.

Holiday Swim & Give (Ages: All Ages)
The GPCC has teamed up with Harmonville Fire Co. for this huge special event. The Leisure pool will be decorated for the season and holiday music playing for a festively fun swim! Firefighters will be on hand to receive the toys from children who wish to make the holidays brighter for others. Rumor has it that Santa himself will be making an appearance at the end of the event to give out candy canes to all the good boys & girls! The price of the event is $1 plus a new unwrapped toy per person. If you wish to donate more than one toy they will be gladly accepted. Thank You!

Holiday Wreath Making Class (Ages:16+ years)
Learn how to make your own evergreen wreath. Class includes one 14 inch wire wreath frame, floral wire and evergreens. Please bring your own garden clippers and any bows, ribbon or embellishments you would like to include in your wreath. Location: HWP- Butler Pike classroom
